The mission of Bakersfield First Assembly is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. This Great Commission guides our church's purpose as we seek to share Christ's love, build a community of believers, and serve others with compassion and grace.

The vision of Bakersfield First Assembly is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Our church strives to foster genuine faith that permeates every aspect of life, creating a ripple effect of spiritual renewal throughout Bakersfield.

In short, we aim to make more and better disciples. This means not only growing our congregation numerically, but also deepening the spiritual maturity of each member. Through meaningful worship, biblical teaching, authentic relationships, and compassionate outreach, we seek to equip believers to live out their faith in ways that demonstrate Christ's love and truth to our community.

We exist to preach the Gospel both locally and globally.  We take this mandate seriously and work hard at being both Gospel and Biblically centered.

Through the many local outreaches around our city and the missionary efforts we support around the globe, Bakersfield First will always look for ways to share Christ outside our walls.

We realize that our resources are give to us by God. We want to emulate his people by being radically generous in everything we do.  From our tithes and offerings to blessing our community, we want to display Christ through our generosity.

We believe that hospitality opens the door for God to move.  Therefore, we want to demonstrate sincere and over the top hospitality to everyone who walks through our doors.

We still believe in the power of prayer. It has always been what connects us to God. This was demonstrated in the book of Acts, and we know that God still moves today.  We start with prayer first in all we do.

While the next generation is a fraction of today’s church population, they are 100% of the future of this church. Therefore, we make a focused effort in modeling, teaching, and investing into the next generation.
