FAQ
What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program that provides a supportive community for people working through various hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It follows a biblically-based approach using principles similar to traditional 12-step programs.
Who is Celebrate Recovery for?
Everyone is welcome. Contrary to common belief, it's not just for addiction recovery. The program helps people dealing with emotional wounds, relationship struggles, grief, anxiety, unhealthy behaviors, and any other life challenges causing pain.
What happens at a typical meeting?
Meetings generally include a time of worship or welcome, teaching or personal testimony, and small group discussions where participants can share their experiences in a confidential setting. Many locations also offer a meal before the meeting.
Is there a cost to attend Celebrate Recovery?
Most Celebrate Recovery meetings are free to attend. Some groups may suggest a voluntary donation to cover the cost of materials, refreshments, or meals if provided. The program is designed to be accessible to everyone regardless of financial situation, and no one is turned away due to inability to contribute.
How do I get started?
Simply attend a meeting at a local Celebrate Recovery group - no pre-registration required. You can join at any time and participate at your own comfort level.
